Power and Performance of the 2025 RAM 1500
RAM dropped the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine and streamlined the powertrain options of the 2025 RAM 1500 with two choices. Both offer exceptional power and fuel savings and are guaranteed to live up to the full-size pickup truck’s legendary towing and hauling capability.
The entry-level engine is a 3.6-liter 24-valve Pentastar® V6 engine with engine stop/start (ESS) technology and variable valve timing. It is complemented by a 48-volt belt starter generator to improve fuel efficiency and performance. It sends 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
RAM added a new 3.0-liter Hurricane engine with two outputs to the mix. The Standard Output version makes 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, while the High Output delivers 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Both send drive to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
